Spending time out in the sun can cause skin cancer, sunburns, and other things that are not great for your body. At Em. we want you to protect your skin! We have created a small list of brands of sun sunscreen to make protecting your skin a breeze.
EltaMD Face Moisturizer:
EltaMD has been a brand that we have recently fallen in love with. They offer many skincare products, but we are mainly going to focus on their sun protection products. The one that we love to use is the EltaMD UV Daily Broad-Spectrum Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 40.
This is super light weight tinted moisturizer and comes in a small bottle, which makes it easy to travel with. It’s perfect to put on in the morning before you head out the door. It can be put under some foundation or powder without it ruining your makeup look. This moisturizer won’t make your face look greasy, which can be a problem in the summer heat.
This face moisturizer is not water or sweat proof, so please be conscious of that. This face moisturizer is perfect for walking around town or going to work; but, it’s not good for working out or laying out by the pool.
SunBum Lip Balm:
Sun Bum has been taking over the sunscreen industry, recently. They are offered in swimwear boutiques as well as drug stores. Their products can be pricier the your average sunscreen, but it is worth it to protect your skin! We really love the SunBum Lip Balm with SPF 30.
Have you ever had your lips sunburnt? Well if not, we can tell you that it is not fun. Protecting your lips is just as important as protecting the rest of your body. Using the lip balm with SPF will help protect your lips from the sun. This product keeps your lips protected, while keeping them moisturized. This lip balm is awesome because it is cruelty-free and free of all the junk your body doesn’t need.
Blue Lizard Sunscreen:
Ok, we really love Blue Lizard sunscreen! They mean business when it comes to protecting your skin. They have a variety of sunscreen products and we love them all. They are carried in most Walmart and Targets, which makes it pretty easy to find.
What makes Blue Lizard so unique is that they recently became reef friendly! It’s not very easy to come by an reef friendly sunscreen at your local Walmart or Target. We love using this sunscreen since we are concerned about protecting our oceans. Besides the fact that this is a reef friendly sunscreen, it is very effective when it comes to protecting your skin. Having spent so much time out in the sun, Blue Lizard is a brand that we can trust.
Make sure you are putting on enough sunscreen and are putting it on as often as you can. Remember, you only have one body so please take care of it!
